The summer staple meets tea and peaches in Chick-fil-A’s new White Peach Tea Lemonade. The beverage is a blend of Chick-fil-A’s iced tea and signature lemonade with a white peach flavor.
“Customers often order a tea/lemonade combination at our restaurants,” said Amanda Norris, senior director of menu development for Chick-fil-A. “This is the first time we’re officially adding the popular flavor combo to the menu with the extra twist of an essential summer taste. The White Tea Peach Lemonade combines all the flavors of summer for a refreshing beverage we think our customers will love.”
Dunkin’ Donuts is debuting Frozen Lemonades in both original and strawberry flavors. Both are made with fruit juice “for simple and pure frozen refreshment,” the company said.
At Auntie Anne’s, candy combines with lemonade to create new Candy Lemonade Mixers, featuring flavored lemonade topped with Sour Patch Kids or Swedish Fish candies. The candy is housed in a separate top on the beverage lids so customers may sip the lemonade then eat a piece of candy for a “sweet and tangy flavor explosion,” Auntie Anne’s said. Lemonade flavor varieties include original lemon, blue raspberry, cherry, mango, strawberry and peach.
“How do you top Auntie Anne’s famous lemonade? With candy, of course,” said Heather Neary, president of Auntie Anne’s. “Our new Candy Lemonade Mixers are unlike any drink you’ve ever tasted. You have to try both of these fun, bright, and perfectly Instagrammable summer beverages.”
But the summer citrus doesn’t just appear in new beverage options. Cicis pizza buffet is adding a new Lemon Crème Bar to its menu. The dessert features a buttery shortbread crust with a light lemon cream cheese filling topped with a drizzle of lemon glaze and a dusting of powdered sugar.
Lemon also lends its zest to zoodles in Red Lobster’s new pasta dish, which is part of the seafood restaurant’s Lobster & Shrimp Summerfest menu. The Langostino Lobster-and-Shrimp Zoodle Pasta features Langostino lobster and shrimp tossed in a lemon and roasted garlic sauce with linguine and spiralized zucchini, tomatoes and basil.
“This menu embraces everything there is to love about summer,” said Dustin Hilinski, executive chef and director of culinary at Red Lobster. “We’ve paired fresh, vibrant flavors — like coconut, pineapple and lemon — with perfectly prepared lobster and shrimp to give our guests the ultimate summertime seafood dining experience.”
