MINNEAPOLIS — General Mills, Inc.’s Yoplait brand is gearing up for a season of innovation. The company has cultured three new product lines and a new line extension set to hit shelves this summer.
General Mills has paired up its Yoplait and Gushers brands to introduce Yoplait Gushers yogurt cups. Available in red tropical punch, blue raspberry and green apple flavors, the mashup features original style Yoplait yogurt with bursting bubble beads reminiscent of Gushers fruit snacks. The 6-oz cups are slated to debut in August and will retail for 68¢ each.
New Yoplait Go-Gurt Slushie features the taste and fizzing texture of a slushie and comes in blue raspberry and cherry flavors. The yogurt snacks will launch in August and retail for $2.69 per 8-count package.
Go-Gurt also is launching a dairy-free line in August, starting with a non-dairy variety of its strawberry flavor. Go-Gurt Dairy Free is made with coconut cream and is vegan, gluten-free and soy-free. Each 8-count package retails for $3.99.
General Mills is expanding its Oui by Yoplait French-style yogurt offerings with a new coffee variety. The yogurt boasts a thick texture and is made with whole milk and pure cane sugar. Set to hit shelves in August, the Non-GMO Project verified yogurt will be available in 5-oz glass pots for a suggested retail price of $1.49.
