SPRINGDALE, ARK. — Tyson Foods Inc. has named Wes Morris president of its poultry business. Mr. Morris is succeeding David Bray, who is stepping down from the role that he has held since 2021.
Mr. Morris first started with Tyson in 1999 and held several leadership posts, including group vice president of consumer products. He last served as president of its Prepared Foods operations for four years before retiring in 2017. He brings more than 35 years of experience in poultry and consumer sales.
“Wes is a recognized leader who will help position us for continued success and the future growth of our chicken segment,” said Donnie King, president and chief executive officer of Tyson Foods. “We’re confident his experience will help us continue to strengthen our chicken operations and meet growing consumer demand for Tyson brand products.”
Since retiring from Tyson, Mr. Morris worked as chief financial officer at Simmons Foods from 2018-19. He most recently worked as a consultant for Tyson’s poultry business.

Before his first stint with Tyson, Mr. Morris held various sales and sales management roles at Dial Corp., Andrew Jergens Co. and Acosta Brokerage.
He received a bachelor’s degree in marketing at the University of Arkansas.
