ST. LOUIS — ICL Food Specialties and Plantible Foods have partnered to launch Rovitaris, a binding solution powered by the rubi protein RuBisCo. Rovitaris is a functional protein system that may replace most chemically processed binders in plant-based meat and seafood formulations, according to the company.
Rovitaris is aimed at plant-based meat and seafood manufacturers to enable them to bind gelling properties in those applications.
