KANSAS CITY — With the holiday season in full swing, fan-favorite LTOs are coming back to menus.

White Castle is bringing back its Sloppy Joe, Spicy Joe and Smoky Joe sliders, as well as its mac & cheese nibblers.

The Sloppy Joe slider is made with lean ground beef, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers mixed with a sweet and tangy sauce. The Spicy Joe slider adds jalapeño cheese and jalapeño crisps, while the Smoky Joe slider has smoked cheddar and crispy onions.

The mac & cheese nibblers feature cheddar cheese and macaroni coated with a crispy batter.

“There are certainly times when neatness is required, but this is the season when it's perfectly reasonable to be comforted with all things sloppy,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle. “Our lineup of Sloppy Joe sliders strikes the right balance of comfort, flavor and craveability for both Cravers and brand-new guests to White Castle.”

Burger King also brought back several cheesy items to menus, including its melts and cheesy tater tots.

Making its return to Burger King’s menus are the classic melt and the bacon melt, and making its debut is the shroom n’ Swiss melt, which features two slices of toasted bread, layers with two Whopper Jr. patties, Swiss cheese, sauteed mushrooms and Stacker Sauce. The cheesy tots are making their return for the first time since 2021.

Popeyes added chicken wings as permanent menu items for the first time. The chicken wings are available in five flavors including new honey BBQ, roasted garlic Parmesan and signature hot flavors, and returning flavors of ghost pepper and sweet ‘n spicy.

“This is something my team has been working on for three years, and we took our time to get it right,” said head chef Amy Alarcon, vice president of culinary innovation at Popeyes. “Ghost pepper has become a heavy hitter in our arsenal of products, and in marrying that with our wings we knew we had something special. Now, we’ve found ways to add flavors on top for a variety of tastes our guests are sure to love. And with our sweet ‘n spicy wings recently becoming the highest performing product since the chicken sandwich, we are beyond excited to unveil this full lineup.”
