Health-and wellness-focused frozen food company The Real Good Food Co. Inc. added Real Good Crispy Tots, a high-protein, low-carb take on the classic snack, according to the company.
Real Good Crispy Tots are grain-free and gluten-free with 6 grams of net carbs and 10 grams of protein per serving. They are made without processed flours or grains and feature ingredients such as cauliflower, eggs, lupin beans and cheese. They currently are available in an original flavor with additional seasoned varieties expected to launch this year.
The King Arthur Baking Co. launched a line keto mixes and gluten-free pizza flour, catered to those living keto, low-carb or gluten-free lifestyles.
Included in the keto mix line are a yellow cake mix, a chocolate cake mix and an all-purpose muffin mix.
The baking company also released a keto whole wheat pizza crust, which can make two 12-inch pizzas, and a gluten-free pizza flour, which comes in a 32-oz resealable bag.
The Real Good Food Co. expanded with chicken nuggets and strips, which are grain-free and gluten-free, with a net carb total of 3 to 4 grams, and 23 grams of protein per serving.
The new line features four offerings: original lightly breaded nuggets, lightly breaded strips, buffalo nuggets and Buffalo strips.
Canadian-based granola company Seedwise Snacks has made its US retail debut.
Founded by Ozery Family Bakery, Seedwise Snacks makes allergen- and grain-free granola and granola clusters that feature seeds like flax, sunflower and pumpkin.
The two products available are the Super Seed Crunch Clusters, which come in chocolate, mixed berry and sweet and salty varieties, and Super Seed Granola, which comes in chocolate cherry and lemon blueberry flavors.
Seedwise granola products are available at select retail locations, including Wegman’s, Lowes, HEB, and other natural and specialty stores, as well as direct-to-consumer through Amazon for a suggested retail price of $4.99 to $8.99.
Gluten-free frozen food company Cappello’s is launching the Low Carb Lifestyle Uncured Pepperoni Pizza. The keto-friendly, fiber-rich frozen pizza features a crust made with turnips, almond flour and flaxseed. Each serving contains 6 grams of net carbs.
The Low Carb Lifestyle Uncured Pepperoni Pizza can be purchased nationwide at Whole Foods Markets for the suggested retail price of $12.99.
Better-for-you brand Caulipower added All Natural Chicken Nuggets, made with white chicken meat, and a vegetable coating of chickpea and cauliflower.
Keto-friendly snack brand Catalina Crunch, owned by Catalina Snacks, Inc., is expanding its grab-and-go sandwich cookie line to include vanilla crème and chocolate vanilla flavors.
Both flavors come in a sleeve containing four cookies, which is equal to two servings. Each cookie is made up of two wafers sandwiched around a crème filling.
Mission Foods, a subsidiary of Gruma SAB de CV, introduced Zero Net Carbs tortillas. The new tortillas are zero net carbs and zero sugar, and they also are keto-certified, high fiber and low in calories, according to Mission.
