Formulations of classic options make their debut at the California trade show.
Bobo’s released a soft-baked peanut-butter-and-jelly snack at the show, which will be coming to shelves in April. Featuring a peanut butter oat crust, it is available with either a strawberry filling or a grape filling. The bars are gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO Project verified.
Cleveland Kitchen added a kimchi pickle variety to its portfolio. The lightly fermented thick-cut pickle chips have a sweet and spicy flavor, with hints of garlic and onion, according to the company.
4505 Meats relaunched its Butcher Snacks with a new formulation and a new package. The reformulation features 14 grams of protein, and is “more sausage than meat,” according to the company. They are available in red hot, original and cheddar and uncured bacon varieties.
Hope Foods reformulated its hummus dips with omega-3 fatty acids and new packaging. The reformulated hummuses are available in several flavors, including avocado lime, black garlic, original, jalapeño cilantro and sea salt and olive oil, among others.
Daiya expanded its plant-based line with new offerings featuring plant-based chicken. The company debuted a barbecue plant-based chicken thin crust pizza, which features fire-roasted tomatoes and red onions, and a plant-based chicken smoked bacon and ranch flatbread.
“It’s an exciting moment for us as we unveil our latest innovations at Expo West this year — and even more exciting to be the able to offer consumers the first allergen friendly, plant-based pizza and flatbread featuring chicken shreds,” said Melanie Domer, chief marketing officer at Daiya.
Dole Packaged Foods debuted new products to its various brands. Among the introductions are:

Our new products deliver fruit in a delicious and convenient way that supports wellness from the inside out.”
Low-sugar dark chocolate brand Chocxo introduced three products at the show, including two seasonal offerings that will be available this holiday season. The company released dark chocolate coconut cups, which feature organic coconut that’s been mixed with white chocolate, then covered in an 85% cacao chocolate shell. The coconut cups are organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, keto-certified and kosher.
Making their debut in the holiday season, dark chocolate peppermint cups and peppermint cookie crunch chocolate snaps also were featured at the show. The dark chocolate peppermint cups are formulated with a blend of 85% cacao and filled with a peppermint-flavored white chocolate and topped with peppermint candy pieces. The peppermint and cookie crunch snaps are made with a dark milk chocolate blend and mixed with peppermint candy pieces and gluten-free dark chocolate cookie pieces.
Scout debuted its line of tinned fish products, which feature a can of yellowfin tuna in olive oil, a crunchy topper mix-in and a spork. The kit has up to 33 grams of protein, with varieties like chili crisp, which includes a spicy, savory and slightly sweet mixture of chili peppers and aromatics; chile jalapeño, which is a nod to the variety of chilies and flavors of Mexico; and za’atar, which features a blend of spices from the Middle East.
Raised Gluten Free launched three gluten-free cookie mixes made for children. The cookie mixes, which are available in chocolate chip, double chocolate chip and confetti varieties, feature illustrated instructions for kids to easily follow. The cookie mixes can make up to 12 cookies, and are Non-GMO Project verified, and free from the nine top allergens.
San Francisco-based Guittard Chocolate Co. added a dairy-free product line, which included semisweet chocolate chips, extra dark chocolate chips and Akoma organic extra semisweet chocolate chips. The dairy-free line is set to debut at retail in June.
