Recent introductions in beverages focus on reduced-sugar formulations.
Swoon added to its zero-sugar iced tea line with two new flavor varieties: lemon and raspberry. The iced tea options contain zero grams of sugar and are available online through the company’s website or through Amazon.
Chobani expanded its zero-sugar portfolio with the introduction of 7-oz single-serve zero-sugar drinks. The zero-sugar drinks are available in mixed berry, peaches and cream, strawberry cheesecake and milk and cookies flavors.
PAI Partners’ Tropicana brand added a line of zero-sugar juices, which feature no artificial sweetener ingredients. They are available in three flavors: fruit punch, lemonade and passionfruit lemonade.
Great Lakes Distillery added a zero-proof botanical spirit, Junipre. The non-alcoholic alternative features flavors from juniper berries, ginseng, orange zest, cardamom, chili pepper and coriander.
Junipre is the first zero-proof alternative launched in a partnership between the distillery’s Sans brand and Boundless Beverages.

Trejo’s Spirits, the alcohol-free line from actor Danny Trejo, launched with its first offering, a vegan zero-proof tequila.
Mr. Trejo, who has been sober for more than 50 years, sees the launch as a way to “provide a sophisticated alternative for those engaging in the social experience of drinking while recognizing that sobriety is a viable and rewarding lifestyle,” according to the company.
Clearly Canadian launched its line of zero-sugar sparkling water, one of the company’s first new product offerings in two decades, according to the company.
The zero-sugar sparkling water is available in blackberry, cherry, citrus medley and tropical flavors.
C4 Energy introduced a line of zero-sugar energy drinks under the name C4 Smart Energy. The drinks feature 200 milligrams of caffeine from green coffee beans and Cognizin, a nootropic, to “support mental focus.” The line features six flavors, including black cherry, blue raspberry, peach mango, and cherry berry lime.
Functional frozen food manufacturer Blender Bites Ltd. launched a line of frozen coffee-based beverages. The brand’s 1-Step Frappés are formulated to offer a nutritious and convenient beverage option. Made with organic, dairy-free, gluten-free and functional ingredients, like collagen and lion’s mane, each serving of the blended iced coffee includes 90 mg of caffeine and a combination of 12 vitamins and minerals.
Initial flavors of the 1-Step Frappés include Mindful Mocha, formulated to improve focus and memory; caramel collagen, aimed at skin and joint support; and Vanilla Bean-Bio, which includes probiotics and chia to promote gut health.
BodyArmor Sports Nutrition launched BodyArmor Flash I.V., a “rapid rehydration” beverage. Formulated with a coconut water base, zinc, and vitamins B and C, Flash I.V. is aimed at consumers seeking a post-workout source of carbohydrates and electrolytes with faster rates of reabsorption and hydration. Packaged in 20-oz bottles, the beverage contains more than 2,200 mg of electrolytes and zero artificial flavors, sweeteners or dyes.
Flash I.V. initially will be available in four flavors: grape, strawberry kiwi, orange and tropical punch. The product has launched in select regions, with plans for a national rollout in retailers and on Amazon in 2024.
